- WELCOME TO DONCASTERS PREMIER LIVE MUSIC VENUE -

I'm pleased to announce that we will be making this an annual event as we had such a positive response last year. As you all probably know I have a great deal of respect for all people involved in the treatment of mental health. My hope is to raise awareness of the debilitating effect all forms of mental health issues have on people by putting on various events throughout the week accompanied by stalls hosted by various charities and organisations who work in this field and will be there to answer questions and offer help and advice.

A year ago we lost a beautiful young lady Elysia Pearce, once again I'm dedicating this week to her and to the countless musicians and customers I have met who all are dealing with one demon or another. Lets lift the taboo on mental health and help people to help themselves by talking about it and getting help.

I chose Easter week to do this as some people are believers and some are not but I hope we can all believe in assistiance for suffers and roll the stone away from peoples minds and resurrect hope in the 1 in 5 people who suffer from some form of mental health issue.

Money will be being raised for

TC & THE MONEYMAKERS & SUPPORT FROM BACKWATER BLUES
TC & THE MONEYMAKERS have been making big Blues waves on the British Blues circuit in the last few years with their high energy brand of classic Hard Drivin’ House Rockin’ Blues. A good time Blues band that get the joint jumpin’ everytime. They play classic Blues with a youthful energy and dynamism that you’d expect from US players and Blues veterans. Despite their recent success and recognition do not be fooled into thinking these are new kids on the blues block. They have years of playing under their belts and this is evident in the commitment and approach to a genre that they’re so passionate about.

At their recent set at Colne International Blues Festival, which was voted best Blues gig of 2013 by Blues and Soul magazine they opened up for three of the Blues World’s greats:- Billy Branch, Sugar Blue and Charlie Musselwhite. TCMMs set blew the roof of the Colne Municipal Hall and was the perfect support and introduction to a memorable night of world class Blues. TC said “we played a fantastic set and we’re genuinely humbled by the feedback and recognition we’ve received as a result. Playing the international stage at Colne was the culmination of many years hard work. It was a thrill and lifetime goal to share the stage with some of the Blues world’s greatest players, including some personal heroes of mine”.

BACKWATER BLUES
Garry (Harmonica /Vocals) and Mick (Guitar Vocals. Having played in several band over the years Garry and Mick decided to form an acoustic blues duo in 2015. THE BLIND DEAD MCJONES BAND WITH SUPPORT FROM ANGELO PALLADINO & THE STREET HAWKS
Blind Dead McJones was never a fan of being in the spotlight, no number 1 singles, cheesy videos or appearances on celebrity cooking programmes. A true Bluesman in every sense of the word, living a life on the road shrouded in mystery. Some say he died years ago in an agriculture related accident, some say he is part of the keyzer soze family and some say he now makes Halloween costumes for dogs. One thing we know for sure is he is responsible for bringing together the blues rock behemoth that is The Blind Dead McJones Band.
